Requested permissions

Fake Data app for Google Sheets needs the following permissions in order to function correctly:

  • See, edit, create, and delete all your Google Sheets spreadsheets - Since Fake Data app is a tool that you can use to generate random data in your spreadsheets, this permission allows the app to do that. This permission allows Fake Data to insert text inside columns as well as read text from columns, in order to identify the column names and whether a column is empty or not.
  • Display and run third-party web content in prompts and sidebars inside Google applications - This permission is required in order to allow Fake Data app to display the UI controls in a sidebar directly in your spreadsheet file, as well as to communicate with the Fake Data browser extension if you have it installed.
